My patient was newly diagnoses with Systemic Lupus. She was admitted to the hospital for an unknown seizure. All she remembered was blacking out but her husband stated that she was shaking. Fatigue was one her main concerns. Then Journal of Advanced Nursing published an evidence based article about the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions for fatigue in adults. Patients were asked to tell their experience with quality of life due to fatigue and filled out a questionnaire after different activities. The results found that aerobic exercise was the most effective and appropriate for reducing fatigue among the adults with the chronic condition. The low impact aerobic exercise will gradually increase the patient’s duration, intensity, and frequency of fatigue.

The other end of the stethoscope is a very good incite to the patients view. I really like the idea of giving your regular patients a nickname. This individuals the patient. I also really like how he tells us what to say and what to say. I like the cut and dry approach he uses. Its nice to have someone actually say do this and dont do that.
